There is nothing like Sarah McLachlan to remind you that the emotional damn you have holding everything back is one cathartic cry away from bursting. There is something that strikes deep and bleeds through her voice. I don't think of her as a pop singer, there is something that is so anti mindless bubble gum that I can help but betaken in. Like a long anticipated kiss from a well missed lover.
I am no musically inclined I don't really have a favorite style. It just has to grab hold and carry me though what ever feelings I am looking to experience. McLachlan is for me sining about a deep sense of longing that deep down I know, I have to and must let cut through me. The only other musician that has this level of affect on me is Siouxie Sioux and possibly Manard Keenan.
I think I just have to stop thinking for a bit and let a lot go tonight. There should be ice cream and more netflix.
